Can I ask about your understanding of paradigm? In my understanding this could apply as much to non-adaptive systems to. e.g. what is the purpose of the car? Is it entertainment, travel, leisure, transportation etc. All of these would (hopefully) lead to different ideas in terms of what is more or less important when designing and improving a car.

Do you see this as the paradigm, or something else?
